Anemone, My Enemy

Yon creature, cursed sea anemone,
Why must you be my mortal enemy?

Fierce horror, born of the Atlantic,
Instills in me such utter panic
That neither friends nor sight of home
Can stave off fear of fiend of foam.

That beast, washed up upon the shore,
Is that which I the most abhor!
