Introduction

Hello. This site is devoted to things that I do and things that I'm interested in. If you like what you find here, check back from time to time to see if I've added new material that's to your liking.

As to myself: I'm a retired professor of computer science with a serious addiction to playing ragtime piano. I can frequently be seen and heard at ragtime festivals around the US, at open-piano after-hours sessions and occasionally as a billed performer. In addition, I dabble in creative writing. Hence the sections into which I've divided the site.

I also have an interest in web design and programming, and am a firm believer in open standards. For those who care — this site uses only valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS. It should appear as intended in any reasonably current graphical web browser, but still be usable (although less “styled”) in text-only browsers.
